Cody Rhodes applauds Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal title reign
Cody Rhodes finally achieved his dream at WWE WrestleMania 40 by becoming the WWE Undisputed Champion. Following his win, Rhodes appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, where he expressed admiration for Roman Reigns.
He stated, “I noticed this Saturday night, right out of the gate, Roman showed up not like a champion ready to hand off his championship, he showed up in the best shape of his career. I don’t agree with how Roman was the champion. We go about how we operate in the ring completely differently, but still, and I really mean it, I’m proud that I beat him at his best, and I hope that I can be half the champion that Roman Reigns was.”
Rhodes, who has now captured the title his father Dusty Rhodes never could, is embarking on a new journey in WWE as he aims to become the face of the promotion.
