Episode 7 of Lovely Runner aired on Monday, April 29, 2024, on tvN. The previous episode ended with Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) coming in front of a dangerous taxi driver. In the latest episode, viewers see the taxi driver abducting Sol with menacing intentions. However, Sol decides not to give up and tries to get away from the vicious man.
Lovely Runner episode 7 also sees Im Sol finally being able to escape her tragic fate and not get fatally hit by the taxi driver’s car. Thus, she changes her past. The new episode further shows Sol returning to the present in 2023 through another time slip and meeting her idol, Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok).
Lovely Runner Episode 7: Kim Hye Yoon changes the tragic past and returns to the present
Episode 7 of Lovely Runner begins with a chilling flashback scene from Im Sol’s past. The scene shows what happens on the day of Sol’s accident. A vicious taxi driver kidnaps her and tries to brutally harm her. Somehow, she manages to get away from the taxi and start running. However, the man sees Sol and chases her in his taxi. Meanwhile, Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) rushes there to save Sol, but he is late. She gets hit by the man’s car and falls into the water. Sun Jae saves Sol from drowning, but she loses her ability to walk.
Thereafter, the episode returns to the moment when Sol comes in front of the same taxi driver. However, this time, she knows what is about to happen. The man abducts her and takes her near the bridge. As Sol is aware of the past, she changes some of her actions while running away from the man. But the man still manages to chase her in a vehicle. Not being able to find Sol anywhere, Ryu Sun Jae arrives there and runs to save Sol. This time, another car appears in front of the taxi driver’s vehicle, and Sol is saved from the terrible accident. The moment Sun Jae holds her there, she time travels back to the present, and the Sol from the past takes her place.
Then, Lovely Runner episode 7 displays that the past has changed. Sol has not lost her ability to walk, and Sun Jae is still alive in 2023. Sol now works at a film production company. Ryu Sun Jae is an idol who still has feelings for his first love, which is none other than Sol. In the past, Sol and Sun Jae have drifted apart after the kidnapping incident took place. Thus, many things have changed in the present.
In the present, Sol goes near Ryu Sun Jae’s apartment, and the guard mistakes her for a stalker fan. The police arrest her, and she even gets a retraining order from Ryu Sun Jae. She later discovers that her company is trying to get Sun Jae on board for a movie. However, Sun Jae is refusing to do the film after learning that the company’s employee has been stalking him. Thus, Sol’s boss asks her to rectify the misunderstanding. They arrange a meeting with Sun Jae, where Sol is about to meet him for the first time after returning to the present.
In episode 7 of Lovely Runner, viewers see that Im Sol also ends up blowing this opportunity. Then, she finds out that Eclipse has postponed their concert. The day of the concert arrives, and Sol tries to meet Ryu Sun Jae, but she is unable to do so due to the restraining order. However, she manages to send a flower bouquet along with her name card to Sun Jae.
At the end of the episode, Im Sol anxiously waits at the bridge for Ryu Sun Jae. It is snowing. She then gets a phone call from an unknown number. It is none other than Sun Jae. He has arrived at the spot, and the two meet again in the present. Both of them are emotional after seeing each other. When a boy who works for Sun Jae arrives there and asks him to go to the after-party, Im Sol gets worried as she knows the future events. Thus, she stops Sun Jae from going there and asks him to spend the night with her. The episode ends right there.
